Our Wineries
Since 1999 we have been importing wines and spirits from smaller wineries, building relationships with, and supporting these lesser known producers. They are some of the best value wines we have because we bring them direct from the vineyard to you.
Do you know your Chianti from your Bordeaux, or your Albarino from your Picpoul di Pinet? Maybe you’d like to explore, move away from the familiar and learn a little more about wine along the way? Then our Club is for you! Our tiers are totally flexible, so the power is in your hands!
We’d love you to join us.
Our Upcoming Events
Join us at one of our Wine Events or DinnersWineOnline.ie are delighted to announce an evening with Ryan Hancock of Vasse Felix, Margaret River, Australia.
Vasse Felix is the oldest winery in Margeret River, Australia. Established in 1967, it is not old by European standards, but there are similarities. The climate here is extremely similar to a dry vintage in Bordeaux, of which the great recent vintages have been. Like most wineries in Margaret River, it specializes in Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, with also some Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Shiraz. The climate is very mild, with small temperature differences between day and night or between summer and winter, with a dry summer.
Vasse Felix have long enjoyed a reputation as one of Australia’s most prestigious wineries. Their wines sit on most of the 5 star hotel winelists across Ireland and we will taste their flagship wines on the night. Long considered to be one of the very best producers of Chardonnay in all of Australia, their Vasse Felix ‘Heytesbury’ Chardonnay is one Australia’s icon white wines. With just 60 Bottles allocated annually for Ireland, a portion of this will be reserved for tasting on the night. Ryan will talk us through the full range of Vasse Felix wines below, telling us how these wines have been crafted over the last 60 years and pouring the entire range. The wines will be accompanied by a three course menu from Number One Restaurant, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. The evening will begin at 7.30pm. You will enjoy a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and the evening will run until approximately 10.30pm.

On Thursday March 12th, WineOnline.ie will have the pleasure to welcome Jean Etienne Alary of Domaine Alary in Cairanne, in the Rhône Valley to Dublin. This is one of the top leading estates in the whole of the Rhone valley and we are extremely excited to bring Jean Etienne to Dublin for this one off event. Jean Etienne is leading the winemaking at the estate with the seady hand and watchful eye of his father who has tended thee land before him. They are a great team and love working together. Jean Etienne has brought a modern twist to the winemaking at the estate and is wholly supported by Denis. The wines are showing a freshness and a purity of fruit , owing to the presentation of the terroir above all else in each wine he produces. The Wines are amazing!
The Alary estate dates back to 1692, when André Alary became the first of many generations of his family to settle in Cairanne, tending the land and nurturing the vineyards. Today, these vineyards stretch all the way from the hillsides to the plain. Cairanne’s climate, along with its superb terroirs, are exceptionally well-suited to wine growing and yield a range of excellent red and white wines. The 30 hectares of vines have been managed by Denis Alary and his son Jean-Etienne since 2016. In a bid to protect the environment and improve quality, the estate was certified organic in 2009. Driven by Jean-Etienne, they are all now moving towards biodynamics.
Jean-Etienne studied oenology and has trained with some of the world’s best winemakers (Confuron-Cotedidot in Burgundy, Henschke in Australia etc.) His experience, enthusiasm and new ideas ensure that the Domaine wines move ever closer to perfection
Jean Etienne will welcome you with a glass of Champagne on arrival, followed by all of the wines from his family’s estate. WineOnline.ieimport all of these wines directly and are excited to show you the very best of Cairanne and the Rhone Valley!
