The result of a long lasting relationship between Bertrand Vigouroux in Cahors with the growers of Mendoza to produce a Malbec based wine in both Cahors and Mendoza bearing the same name. It has a soft round palate with fresh berry flavours - ideal to drink with grilled meats, roasts and excellent with cheese. |

Las Condes Merlot Vina Casablanca SA Merlot, Chile 2008 1 x 75cl Bottle (RRP €11.99 each)
The grapes for this Merlot were handpicked. The grapes remained with the skins for 6 days at 2°C cold maceration before the fermentation. The alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at 24-25°C. Malolactic fermentation took place naturally in tanks and in barrels. 30% of the wine remained in French and American oak barrels for 6 months. |

This Pinot Grigio varietal, although more associated with Northern Italy has certainly found a new home in Mendoza. It is remarkably fresh with soft tropical fruit flavours. It produces a delicious crisp dry white wine with a burst of citrus fruits and a long finish. |
